Ben Westcott

Ben is Eden's Commercial Director and sits on the executive committee. He's responsible for everything that happens before a contract is signed, from marketing and the sales team to making sure every client understands exactly what a fully funded solar agreement involves before they commit. His summary of the relationship is simple: "We only make money by saving you money."

He joined Eden in 2022 as a Business Development Manager and closed his first seven-figure project the following year. His early work covered logistics, food production, manufacturing and commercial estates, with clients including Forthglade, Landlink Estates and Oxygen House. From there he moved into marketing and commercial management, so he has done most of the jobs he now oversees.

Before Eden, Ben spent more than 15 years in business development, mostly helping start-ups win customers in SaaS, entertainment, the charity sector and data collection. Solar brought together everything he liked about that work: a product he believes in, benefits that stack up commercially, environmentally and socially, and savings that come out of the big energy suppliers' margins rather than his clients' budgets.

Outside work, Ben is dad to two girls, which he calls his most important role to date. He also plays golf, surfs and plays football, and admits all three have one thing in common: his effort and enthusiasm have never been rewarded with any improvement in skill.
