The Challenge
Landlink Estates are a property company undertaking both direct and funded development of strategic land, whilst also managing an established mixed-use portfolio. Acting as Landlord, Landlink wanted to establish PPA contracts for their tenants, with the ultimate objective of making their properties more desirable whilst increasing their assert value.
The Solution
Landlink Estates purchased solar for four of their sites in Sussex, which allowed Landlink to sell electricity to their tenants at a significantly discounted market rate, all whilst ensuring a regular income over the next 25 years. As a result, the tenants benefit from a reduction in energy costs, reduced energy price volatility and an improvement in ESG ratings.
"The installation went really well. No disruption, no service level impacts, no site disruption and it was seamless. Absolutely seamless. All of the health & safety was impeccable."
Richard Parr, Manufacturing & Farming Director
"Eden’s offering was by far the best than their competitors. Financially it really works, it’s the right thing to do, and it demonstrates to key customers and stakeholders we are doing the right thing. It makes sense financially for both parties. They win from a discount to market rate on electricity and we win by investing and getting a return on what they are paying us for that electricity. So it is a win-win!"
Peter O’Brien Ward, Finance Director
