Forthglade Foods celebrating their B|Corp status

We’re proud to celebrate the news that one of our valued customers, Forthglade Foods has officially become a Certified B Corporation this month. This is a recognition that reflects their deep-rooted commitment to people, planet, and pooches!

As pioneers of natural dog food for over 50 years, Forthglade has always placed sustainability at the heart of their business. From their ethical sourcing practices to their community engagement and environmental goals, they’ve consistently demonstrated that business can be a force for good.

A Partnership Built on Shared Values

Eden was honoured to be chosen to deliver Forthglade’s solar energy project, a key part of their sustainability roadmap and an indication of how businesses are choosing sustainability as their driving force. Our shared values of transparency, environmental stewardship, and long-term impact, made the partnership a natural fit.

Last summer, we funded and installed approximately 2,000 solar panels on the roof of Forthglade’s factory on the edge of Dartmoor. These panels are expected to generate 25% of the site’s annual electricity needs, significantly reducing their carbon footprint and supporting their goal to become more energy efficient.

Why B Corp Matters

Forthglade’s B Corp journey is about more than ticking boxes. As they put it:

“For us, our B Corp journey means taking all of the good things we’ve been doing and having them independently reviewed… and importantly, drawing up a roadmap of where else we can improve our paw print over the coming years.”

This certification validates their efforts and sets a clear path for continuous improvement, from reducing waste and water usage to increasing transparency and community impact.
