Mai Abdelaall

Mai is a Junior Design Engineer at Eden. Most of her week is spent problem-solving: working out how to get the best efficiency and performance from each system. She uses PVsyst to model how much a system will generate, AutoCAD for layouts and Google Earth to assess sites. She has already designed a wide range of systems, including roof-mounted, ground-mounted and carport installations.

Mai started working with Eden on an ad-hoc basis while completing her degree in Renewable Energy Engineering at the University of Exeter. She made such an impression that she was offered a full-time role in 2026. She chose commercial solar because she has always wanted to help protect the environment, and projects at commercial scale make a real difference.

Outside work, she loves travelling and learning about different cultures whenever she gets the chance.
