The Challenge
XR Training (formerly Barford Education) operates a modern, energy-intensive training facility where reliability, cost control, and sustainability are critical. Rising electricity prices and increasing pressure to decarbonise created a need for a long-term energy solution that would reduce operational costs without diverting capital away from core investment in facilities, technology, and learners. The organisation required a trusted partner capable of delivering a robust, future-proof solar solution with zero upfront cost and minimal disruption.
The Solution
Eden Sustainable designed, funded, and delivered a bespoke commercial solar PV system through our Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model. This removed the need for any capital expenditure, allowing XR Training to access clean, on-site renewable energy from day one. Eden managed the entire process in-house, from feasibility and system design through to installation, grid compliance, and ongoing performance management. Thus ensuring maximum generation, reliability, and value throughout the contract term.
