The Challenge
System3 operates a high-demand manufacturing facility where energy consumption is significant and continuous. With rising electricity costs and increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions, the business needed a solution that would deliver substantial savings while supporting long-term sustainability goals. The challenge was to design and deliver a large-scale solar installation that maximised available roof space, integrated seamlessly with existing operations, and delivered reliable performance without disrupting production.
The Solution
Eden Sustainable designed and delivered a 1.5 MW rooftop solar PV system, tailored to System3’s energy profile and operational requirements. Leveraging Eden’s end-to-end expertise, the project was managed from initial feasibility and detailed design through to installation, grid connection, and commissioning. The system was engineered to optimise on-site energy use, ensuring maximum return from the available roof space and a smooth, efficient installation process.
The Results
The completed installation now delivers measurable financial and environmental benefits. System3 is saving an average of £177,000 per year on electricity costs while reducing carbon emissions by 548,941 kg of CO₂ annually. The project provides long-term energy price certainty, reduces reliance on grid electricity, and strengthens System3’s sustainability credentials, demonstrating Eden Sustainable’s ability to deliver high-impact, large-scale commercial solar solutions.
