The Challenge

Parfetts, one of the UK’s leading employee-owned wholesalers, faced the dual challenge of rising energy costs and increasing pressure to decarbonise its operations. With multiple sites and high energy usage, the business needed a scalable solution that could deliver environmental impact and financial savings, without disrupting operations or requiring upfront investment.

The Solution

Eden delivered rooftop solar PV systems across six Parfetts sites, totalling 1.63MW in capacity. Funded entirely through Eden’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model, the rollout required zero capital expenditure. Eden managed every stage, from feasibility and design to installation and commissioning, ensuring each system was tailored to the site’s energy profile and installed with minimal disruption. The PPA model provides Parfetts with clean energy at a significantly reduced rate, backed by a full performance guarantee.

The Outcome

Parfetts now saves approximately £239,000 annually on electricity costs while cutting over 311,000 kg of CO₂ emissions each year. The success of the initial six-site rollout has opened the door to further installations, reinforcing Parfetts’ commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency. This project demonstrates Eden Sustainable’s ability to deliver complex, multi-site solar solutions that drive real-world impact, financially, environmentally, and strategically.
