The Challenge
Gardner Aerospace are one of the largest international independent manufacturers of metallic aerospace detailed parts. As a high energy consumer, Gardner wanted a solution to stabilise their monthly bills, reduce their overall costs and minimise any upfront capital expenditure.
The Solution
Gardner turned to Eden to provide them with a solar installation under a ‘zero capital solution’, known as a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
As with all of Eden’s projects, we provided Gardner with a complete solution from initial design work, to planning consents, legal contracts, funding and installation, guiding them through the entire PPA process.
The Outcome
By integrating solar energy into their operations, Gardner has significantly reduced their energy costs, with the PPA unlocking a c. 40% saving on their energy price.
As this was delivered under a PPA, Gardner now also benefit from an ongoing operations and maintenance contract to ensure their system remains efficient over its lifetime.
Following a successful installation at their Derby site, Gardener Aerospace went on to contract Eden to install a solar solution on their Consett site.
