The Challenge
Brioche Pasquier’s large manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes was committed to reducing its carbon footprint and future-proofing operations but found its roof largely unsuitable for solar due to structural limitations, shading issues, chimneys, and maintenance constraints. With traditional rooftop installations unviable, the business needed an innovative solution to harness renewable energy on site without disrupting daily operations or compromising safety and efficiency. A challenge requiring technical insight, strategic design, and seamless project execution.
The Solution
Eden Sustainable designed, engineered, and delivered a bespoke 615 kW solar car park canopy system, deploying 1,158 high-efficiency panels across three bespoke steel structures tailored to the site’s constraints and energy needs. Our end-to-end delivery included feasibility analysis, structural and electrical design, drainage and safety planning, DNO coordination, phased installation with minimal disruption, and full commissioning. The canopy maximises on-site consumption, integrates advanced safety features, and delivers real-time monitoring for visibility into energy generation and carbon savings.
The Outcome
The new solar canopy delivers clean energy directly to Brioche Pasquier’s operations, significantly cutting grid reliance, lowering operating costs, and contributing to the brand’s sustainability goals. The project demonstrates Eden’s ability to innovate beyond conventional roof-mounted systems, transforming complex site challenges into high-performing, future-ready renewable energy solutions with tangible environmental and financial benefits
