The Challenge

Brindley Group operates multiple dealership sites across the UK, each with significant daytime electricity demand driven by showrooms, workshops, and operational facilities. With rising energy prices and increasing pressure to demonstrate environmental responsibility, the group sought a renewable energy solution that could be deployed across multiple locations. The challenge was to design a scalable commercial solar strategy that would deliver meaningful cost savings, reduce carbon emissions, and be implemented with minimal disruption to daily business operations across a distributed portfolio of sites.

The Outcome

Eden Sustainable worked closely with Brindley Group to design and deliver a multi-site commercial solar PV programme spanning ten of their locations. In total, Eden installed 793kWp of solar capacity, carefully tailoring each installation to the specific roof structures and energy profiles of the individual sites. The systems were integrated with the dealerships’ existing electrical infrastructure and designed to maximise onsite energy generation during peak operational hours, helping the group reduce reliance on grid electricity while strengthening long-term energy resilience.

The Results

The solar programme now delivers significant financial and environmental benefits across the Brindley Group estate:

• Annual energy savings: Approximately £169,000 in reduced electricity costs across the ten sites.

• Carbon reduction: 196,537kg of CO₂ saved each year, supporting the group’s sustainability commitments.

• Portfolio-wide impact: A coordinated multi-site solar rollout enabling consistent energy savings and improved environmental performance across the business.

This project demonstrates how commercial solar installations across multi-site portfolios can provide scalable, measurable benefits, reducing operating costs, lowering carbon emissions, and supporting organisations in their transition toward cleaner, more sustainable energy.
