Eden Sustainable listed on The Sunday Times 100 for second year running

Eden Sustainable listed in the The Sunday Times 100 2023 - Britain’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

We’ve done it again!

Eden Sustainable has made The Sunday Times 100 – a prestigious annual list of the fastest growing private companies in the UK – for the second year in a row, ranking at #65.

Founded in 2014, and based in Exeter, with offices in London, Birmingham, Bristol and North Devon, the company specialises in commercial and industrial rooftop solar development, with a wider group of companies including econetiQ (EV charging points), The Pickwell Foundation (a charitable trust supporting climate change and people displacement causes, currently working with refugees and asylum seekers including Ukrainian, Syrian and Afghan families resettling in the South West), Homemade (a social housing organisation), and Pickwell Manor & Ravendere Retreats (sustainable tourism locations in North Devon).

Renewable energy is grabbing major news headlines and corporate agenda top spots, as the race to net zero and high energy costs continue apace.

The team headcount has grown from 6 to nearly 50 in the last 3 years. The solar delivery model includes a full in-house service, from design, funding, installation and post-install operation and maintenance. Clients are offered a range of finance options, including self-fund and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), a fully funded model where a client can save money from day 1 with no capital outlay.

Steve Baker, Co-Founding Director and Chairman of Eden Sustainable comments: “This is brilliant to have been listed in the Sunday Times 100 for a second year in a row. As a team, we continue to live and breathe the sustainability message with head and heart and this recognition will help to spread that message. Over the last couple of years we have invested heavily in people, and the team has grown significantly. I want to acknowledge the hard work of the team. Renewable energy continues to develop as an exciting and dynamic marketplace as we recognise the need to transition to a low carbon economy as quickly as possible.”

The Sunday Times 100 is a recognised list of the top performing private companies in the country. Other winners this year include recruitment firm Join Talent taking the #1 spot, Ooni – pizza oven manufacturers, and Golf Travel Group. See the full list here.

Steve, a serial entrepreneur, is no stranger to this list; he has appeared in the list on 5 previous occasions with three separate businesses, where he has been both a founder Director and Shareholder listed in the Sunday Times FastTrack 100. Steve is a great believer that business can be used as a force for positive social impact.

Companies in The Sunday Times 100 2023 will be invited to a networking dinner in London later in the year. Congratulations to all those named.
