Domestic Biomass Pellet Heating FAQ

What happens after year 7?

After 7 years the entire system is yours to keep and enjoy. Simple.

Can I own the system before 7 years is up?

Yes. You can pay for the system at the start, or during the 7 year period, and earn any remaining Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments for your household.

What is the life expectancy of our biomass boiler?

The life expectancy is over 20 years. Due to the world leading specifications and 96% efficiency your system will function beautifully long after our 7 year agreement ends.

What happens if I want to move house?

The new owners receive the same benefits as you do before you sell. Your cutting-edge biomass system is also likely to have added value to your property.

Why do I get a free Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) and Green Deal Assessment?

We need them to register your system for the RHI. Anyone who rents out or sells a home needs these done. They also provide you with advice on how to make your home more energy efficient. They are a valuable bonus for you.

How much do wood pellets cost?

Thanks to the Eden team’s industry expertise and partners in the pellet supply chain, we believe our fixed pellet price promise is the best currently available to UK homes. At the time of writing the current offer price is £230 per tonne.

Where will our biomass boiler be fitted?

Each Eden heating system is bespoke. The most convenient and efficient system for you could be either outside (in an existing or new outhouse), or inside your existing boiler room. There are horses for courses, but generally speaking all your components in total need around 3.5 x 2.5m of floor space.
