Major Investor Backing For Paris Agreement, Targeting G7 Leaders


A total of 282 global investors, representing over US$17 trillion in assets, have signed a letter to the G7 Heads of State, underlining that climate change mitigation is “essential for the safeguarding” of their investments.

The Climate Action Tracker has released a brief that indicates that both China and India are set to overachieve their Paris Agreement climate pledges.

In a referendum held on 21 May 2017, Swiss voters have indicated their support for the Government’s plan to provide billions of dollars in subsidies for renewables and to ban nuclear power.
